Jordyn, Makenzie & Averie

Averie is 2 months old today. She has discovered that she likes to suck on her fingers and chew on her hands.  She loves to smile and likes to talk and giggle with everyone she meets.
She doesn’t enjoy tummy time for too long but she likes to look at herself in the mirror. We got her the soothe and glow seahorse for Easter but I caved and gave it to her a couple weeks early.

She fell asleep while listening to her seahorse.
Yesterday I put Averie down to play while I went into the kitchen to finish dinner and this is how I found her a couple minutes later.

She rolled from her back to her tummy.

The girls wanted to get a photo with Averie too.

On Monday the neighbors kid got mud in Makenzie's face and eyes. I spent almost an hour flushing it out. On Tuesday I took her to the eye doctor and she has an eye infection and now I have to put a prescription gel in her eye 4 times a day. That is why her eye looks like it does in the picture above.

Makenzie has an appointment on May 5th to see if she can get early entry into Kindergarten next school year. She is ready to go to school and loves to do homework at home so we hope she passes. She can write her ABC’s and 123’s. She can write and read simple words such as dog, cat, mom and dad. She knows her shapes and has started to learn basic math. She seems to catch on pretty quick.
Jordyn will be starting the adventure of getting work done on her teeth. She will be getting an expander put on soon and then shortly after that she will start braces. I don't think she is looking forward to it.
