Baby food, Flower Headbands and other news

Since I mentioned in my last post I was going to start making baby food soon I thought I would share some websites/blogs that I have found helpful.

I also found a tutorial on those cute flower headbands you see every little baby girl pictured in. I am going to make them for Averie, Jordyn and Makenzie. I will let you know how they turned out! I am excited to make them. Click HERE to view the tutorial.

Jordyn will be starting vision therapy this month. I did not know anything about it until I ran into Kera, an old friend from high school, and learned about vision therapy! Thank you. It's not talked about a lot and I am hoping it will help her improve her school work.

We are in the process of enrolling Kenzie in a home school program for Kindergarten. I have no problem teaching her and I am confident she will do great. At least this gives me the opportunity to teach her things I know she will not learn in public school.

Averie has her 4 month check up on the 23rd. I'll update everyone after the appointment. We are pretty sure she is teething. She is constantly biting her hands and toys, drooling and sometimes cranky. She is also fighting her naps. If she sleeps on me she will take a decent nap but once you put her down she is either awake instantly or within 20 minutes. I have had to make an area on my bed and lay with her a few times in order for her to sleep for a couple hours. I am going to guess that she weighs 12 lbs 12 oz. Not sure on length but depending on the brand she has outgrown some of her 6 month outfits already.
I still haven't moved her into her crib. She sleeps in the pack n play next to my side of the bed. I should work on that soon but honestly I'm not in a hurry! At least we are not co-sleeping!

  1. Oh wow, I couldn't have Isabella in our room any longer than I did. I think we moved her to her crib when she was around a month old. We enjoy our time after she goes to bed and as long as she was in our room we couldn't do anything with the lights on. It was driving me nuts! She had to go :D :D
