9 months old
Wow, has it really been 9 months? Averie seems to be doing everything early. I wish she could stay a baby a little longer. Tonight she walked across the living room to Jordyn and Makenzie. She has done this 4 times now. At first it was only 2-3 steps and then it was 4 or 5. Now, she is actually walking a good distance! If she keeps this up she might be completely walking by Christmas. I am not ready for this!
Averie still doesn't say dada. She says mama all the time and baba and she tries to say bye bye. She will give you a high five and we are working on blowing kisses. At her last appointment she weighed 17lbs. 11.5oz and she is 30 inches long.

8 months and Halloween
Averie turned 8 months old on the 20th of October. I can't believe in 4 months she will turn 1.
Some videos of Averie:
Averie walking with her Vtech Sit to Stand Walker.
Averie saying Mama. This was a month ago.
Jordyn and Makenzie were pixies this year for Halloween and Averie was a ladybug. We went to the reindeer farm and got to feed the reindeer and moose.
They picked out a pumpkin.
The girls had fun carving the pumpkin.
Dressed up in their costumes ready to go trick or treating.

7 months and counting
Wow, 7 months already?? I have been so busy with birthdays, appointments, going to the gym and homeschooling the girls that I haven't had time to post anything new!
Some of the things from last month:
- Averie is still crawling all over the place and pulling herself up on everything
- Can stand on her own for a few seconds before falling down
- Has her 2 bottom teeth
Some of Averie's favorite things:
- Trying to play barbies with Jordyn and Makenzie
- Happy Baby Organic Puffs
- Gerber Graduates Cinnamon Maple Crunchies
For some reason we have gone from sleeping through the night to getting up at least once now. Naps are an issue as well since she will only sleep maybe 15-30 minutes before waking up. I really wish she would get back on a schedule!
We celebrated the girls birthdays this month at the bowling alley. Makenzie is now 5 years old and Jordyn is 9. I must be getting old because I cannot believe that I have a 9 year old daughter. This year we decided to have one birthday party for both girls since their birthdays are only a couple of weeks apart. I will post pictures later. I don't have all of them on the computer because some of them are on my phone. Not only that but I really don't want to spend the time right now uploading a bunch of photos.
The girls also had a photoshoot this month with Laf'n Photography! The pictures turned out great. She really does beautiful work. You can go to her website to view the girls pictures in her gallery.

6 Months!
Our sweet little girl turned 6 months old last Saturday!
She had her appointment on the 23rd and she weighed 15lbs 8.5oz and measured 27.5
inches long.
applesauce
rice cereal
oatmeal
sweet potatoes
bananas
rice rusks
Over the past month she has learned that crawling gets
you where you want to go faster. She is getting into everything she can get
ahold of in the living room. She even chases Reese even though he always runs
away. I posted a video on facebook. I will try to post one on here later.
Averie also sits up on her own now. It is time to get her
new toys! This past 2 weeks she has been pulling herself up on the couch,
recliner, laundry basket, my legs, etc. Pretty much anything she can!
We started slowly introducing solids a couple months ago.
We started with peas. I have been pretty laid back about it and only feeding
her maybe once a day. Averie has tried:
peas
carrotsapplesauce
rice cereal
oatmeal
sweet potatoes
bananas
rice rusks
So far she likes them all. She also has her first tooth coming in!
Next month the girls have a photo shoot with Laf'n
Photography. It is an outdoor session so I am hoping the weather gets better! I will let everyone know how it went and hopefully have some preview pics to show.
Hope everyone is doing well. :)

5 months
Averie is 5 months old today.Time sure is flying by!
She has discovered her feet and has started playing with them and sucking on her toes.
Within the last week she has really started getting on her hands and knees and trying to crawl. She hasn't quite figured it out yet but I'm sure she will soon.
In other news, Makenzie has been registered and enrolled in a homeschool program through K12 called Alaska Virtual Academy and her materials were shipped yesterday. I'm not sure how many boxes we will be getting but she is excited to get her books and other learning materials. I have to admit I am a little excited to see what all is in there as well.
Jordyn will be getting the tubes in her ears removed on August 10th. She isn't happy about it but it is something that needs to be done since the tube in her left ear came out a couple months ago and she has a hole in her eardrum. The doctor is thinking that she will also have a hole in the right eardrum as well since it has not come out yet. We are also waiting to get her palate expander put on in August.

4th of July weekend
Last weekend we went camping with my parents along the Denali Highway. We ended up only staying a couple of days due to the rain but we still had a nice time.
Our view:
There is a moose in the water but you can't see him very well. :( |
The next day we took a ride:
We left Sunday because of the wind and rain. On our way home we bought fireworks.
Sparklers! |
